The AI Assurance Lab is the research and education division of BABL AI, an independent AI assurance firm founded in 2018 that specializes in the audit and assurance of AI systems under international standards such as ISAE 3000. We have built a holistic framework for evaluating and auditing algorithms around three principles: fairness, effectiveness, and transparency, designed to help organizations earn and keep the trust of their stakeholders and the public as concerns about the misuse of these technologies grow.

The Lab offers training in the practical skills behind responsible AI, from algorithmic risk and impact assessment and AI governance to the technical foundations of AI, AI testing and evaluation, and algorithm auditing and assurance. We also conduct research and outreach to put these principles into practice in a way that gives everyone a voice in how AI shapes our lives.
